Frequently Asked
-
A no-KYC Monero exchange lets you swap cryptocurrencies into (or out of) Monero without submitting identity documents, personal data, or registration details. XmrEx is that kind of service — Monero-first, automated, and wallet-to-wallet: pick a pair, paste your receive address, send a deposit, and the payout lands after network confirmations.
-
No. The exchange works without registration. Simply provide the Monero (or other) wallet address where you want to receive the funds, create the order, and send the deposit to start the automated swap — no email, password, or KYC.
-
Exchange speed depends on blockchain confirmations of the deposit. In most cases Monero swaps finish within minutes after the required confirmations — often about 1–5 minutes.
Congested chains, a low send fee, or XMR confirmation rules can stretch that. Speed follows the two blockchains in the pair, not a review queue — there is no account or KYC step that delays the order.
-
Yes. On a reputable automated, non-custodial platform like XmrEx, swaps run wallet-to-wallet on the blockchain and do not require storing personal information. That reduces privacy risk from identity data on file. Always verify the deposit address, network, and amount on the order page before you send.
-
You can convert Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP, USDT, BNB, Solana, USDC, DAI, TRON, Dogecoin, Cardano, Sui, Litecoin, Toncoin, DASH, PEPE, Zcash, Arbitrum, Polygon, TON, Bitcoin Cash, and 2,000+ other assets into Monero on XmrEx. Use the swap widget or pair pages for the exact route — including XMR to other coins.
-
After you broadcast the deposit, wait for network confirmations. The order page may still say "Awaiting deposit" until the chain includes your tx. Once we see it, the Monero (or other) swap starts and the status updates — no extra form to fill.
-
If an order cannot finish, funds stay recoverable.
- The desk flags a failed swap automatically — you do not open a user profile.
- Refunds return to the address you sent from, minus network fee when the chain charges one.
- You usually do not file a form; keep the Exchange ID.
If you still need help, email support with that Exchange ID.
-
Write support with: Exchange ID, deposit tx hash if you have it, and a screenshot of the order page.
That is enough to find a 24-hour order — we have no account name to search.
-
- Send from a regular wallet, not a smart contract, DEX router, or batch/relay.
- Match the token and network printed on the order before you broadcast.
- If status is unchanged after you sent, wait a few minutes — detection is not instant.
About XmrEx
-
XmrEx (xmrex.io) is a Monero-first, no-KYC crypto exchange. Swap BTC, ETH, USDT, SOL, ZEC and 2,000+ coins to or from XMR — wallet to wallet, with no account, no ID upload, and no personal data on file. After your deposit reaches the required network confirmations, the payout is sent automatically to the address you paste.
We focus on practical privacy routes (especially into and out of Monero) with fixed or float rates, fees shown before you send, and order pages that wipe after 24 hours.
-
XmrEx is built for users who need Monero without the friction of KYC exchanges.

Desktop or phone — same flow for BTC↔XMR, XMR↔ZEC, and 2,000+ pairs. -
XmrEx does not ask for registration or personal documents. Swaps are non-custodial and automated: funds are not held as an account balance, rates are visible before you send, and support is available 24/7 if an order needs help. Order pages are removed after 24 hours so nothing sits on the site long-term.
Always verify the deposit address, network, and amount on your order page before you send.
-
Example: swap Bitcoin to Monero (XMR)
- Step 1. In the "Send" field, select Bitcoin and enter the amount. In "Receive", select Monero (XMR).
- Step 2. Choose fixed or float rate, paste the Monero wallet address that should receive XMR, then click "Exchange Now".
- Step 3. Send Bitcoin to the deposit address on the order page. After the required confirmations, XMR is sent to the address from Step 2.

Rates, fees & confirmations
-
Fixed rate
Lock in the price shown when you create your order — that is the amount you will receive.
- 1% service fee + network fee.
- The quoted rate is held for 10 minutes.
- If the market moves more than 1.2% before your payment appears on the blockchain, you can request a refund or continue at the current market rate.
Important: Your payment must arrive within 10 minutes, and the amount sent must exactly match your order. Otherwise, you will be prompted to refund or continue at the market rate.
Float rate
The final rate is set once your payment receives the required blockchain confirmations. If the market goes up, you receive more; if it goes down, you receive less.
- 0.5% service fee + network fee.
- The final rate is determined within 10 minutes after your transaction reaches the required confirmations.
Example: You swap 1 BTC for an estimated 160.21542 XMR. With a fixed rate, you receive exactly 160.21542 XMR. With a float rate, the XMR amount can be higher or lower depending on changes in the market rate.
-
You can choose from two exchange strategies:
- Fixed rate: XmrEx fee 1% + network fee. The exchange rate is fixed at the time of order creation.
- Float rate: XmrEx fee 0.5% + network fee. The exchange rate is set only after your transaction arrives and is confirmed by the network. The order amount may change from the moment the order was created due to changes in the market rate, both up and down.
The network fee is a payment to miners for processing a transaction; its amount is individual for each blockchain (including when you send BTC, ETH, or receive XMR).
-
Exchange speed depends on blockchain confirmations of the deposit. As soon as your transaction arrives and reaches the required confirmations, the swap runs automatically and the payout is sent to your address — including Monero (XMR) routes. Waiting time depends on the network fee you set and how busy the chain is. In most cases swaps finish within minutes after those confirmations (often about 1–5 minutes). There is no KYC review step that holds the order.
-
If you send a deposit with a low network fee, confirmation can take much longer. The order only continues after the required confirmations arrive — a low-fee Bitcoin or Ethereum tx may sit unconfirmed while the network is busy. Use a normal or recommended fee from your wallet when you want a faster Monero (or any) swap.
-
Network fees are per-chain and change with congestion. A higher fee usually means higher priority and faster confirmation. Most wallets suggest a sensible fee automatically.
If you already sent on Bitcoin or Ethereum and confirmation is slow, you may be able to bump priority with RBF (replace-by-fee) in your wallet. Monero deposits follow XMR network rules — wait for the required confirmations shown on the order page.
-
Check that the address network matches the coin you selected in "Receive". For Monero, paste a standard XMR address from your wallet (primary or subaddress as your wallet provides). If you selected USDT-TRC20, ERC-20, or another network, an XMR or wrong-chain address will be rejected. Mismatched networks are the most common cause of an "invalid address" warning.
Orders & Exchange ID
-
Order status updates in real time on the order page — keep it open until the swap finishes when you can. When deposit and payout transactions appear on-chain, explorer links show on that page so you can follow BTC, XMR, or other legs of the pair.
-
If your deposit has not arrived before the order timer ends, the order page lets you:
- Continue at a floating rate — the swap runs after the deposit is received and confirmed.
- Request a refund of the amount sent minus the network fee — enter the address that should receive the return.
-
- Reopen the order from browser history, or return with your Exchange ID if you saved it.
- Contact support (chat or email) with that Exchange ID — we have no account login to recover the page otherwise.
-
For privacy, orders are not kept long-term. Every order page is deleted automatically 24 hours after creation. Save your Exchange ID within that window if you may need to reopen a Monero or other swap.
